Micron Designs, Integrates and Project Manages a full ICT Solution for Dual-Brand Marriott Development
Micron were initially engaged at the pre-construction phase, to design and coordinate the ICT solutions for the hotels. Micron’s value comes from proven experience in working to a broad range of brand standards, integrating the full scope of ICT solutions in tandem with RIBA stages of the build.
The dual-brand Marriott development was built in the heart of Slough on the former library site, comprising of a 92 suite Residence Inn and a 152 room Moxy hotel.
Micron deployed Resilient Leased Line and SIP Connectivity to the premises, IT including Smartguard Cybersecurity, HPE Network and NEC Telecoms solutions. In addition, they project managed the wider ICT deployment including PMS, POS, Access Control, Wi-Fi and TV solutions.
Despite the challenges that 2020 brought to us all, establishing solid working foundations early on, with Morgan Sindall and Cycas, put Micron in a great position and the project was completed both ahead of schedule and under budget. A smooth handover of services was made to the client and the hotel operator, Cycas Hospitality, in January 2021 for opening in February 2021.
