December saw the opening of three contemporary and sophisticated hotels starring luxury lifestyle facilities, conference rooms and complex technology.

InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) opened their first dual branded site at Heathrow Airport. The site consists of a core brand, 433 room Holiday Inn and a 190 room Staybridge Suites brand. Centrally located at the international airport, it offers apartment-style accommodation, meeting rooms, a fitness centre and an onsite shop, as well as free wireless internet across the site – a service we were delighted to provide.

Micron has been a key player in the dual-development since August 2017 installing and managing telecoms, IT and data connectivity. We look forward to the completion of the second site later this month.

The second Curio Collection by Hilton, Curio Lincoln Plaza, opened in London’s Canary Wharf. Appointed following our longstanding relationship with hotel management specialists Shiva Hotels and HMI, we coordinated the technology supplying WiFi, IT, telecoms and connectivity throughout the complex.

Marriott Autograph’s The Dixon hotel was the third to open over the festive period. Dominvs Group has transformed London’s old magistrates court into a cultural and stylish 195-bed hotel with an award-winning combination of authentic design, carefully-curated amenities and smart technology.

This was our fourth project working with the Dominvs Group and we were asked to consult on, install and manage their complex voice, data and wireless requirements. Recognising the potential risk to revenue and reputation that increasing reliance upon technology and interconnected systems brings, we installed a fully resilient solution which protects against power failures and network outages. The Dixon is very much ‘one-of-a-kind’ and we would highly recommend a visit!
