The client

The Peninsula London

This landmark new-build luxury hotel in Belgravia was developed with a budget of £1bn, so there was no compromise on luxury, detail, or technology. Part of the global five-star Peninsula Hotels Group it was built to redefine excellence in modern hospitality.

The challenge

Maintaining the brand’s five-star reputation

With 190 suites, 25 private residences, and 700 staff, The Peninsula needed more than just Wi-Fi. They needed a rock-solid digital infrastructure to run every system, support next-level guest service, and meet the brand’s famously high standards.

The solution had to be invisible, seamless, and future-ready. It needed to support everything from room iPads and CCTV to fine-dining POS and guest Wi-Fi, all integrated with the group’s bespoke tech stack. And crucially, it had to be ready in time for a globally watched grand opening.

The Peninsula Group’s impeccable 150-year reputation was on the line.

The solution

An expertly tailored infrastructure

After touring another of our projects, The Peninsula’s team knew they could trust us to deliver at the level they needed.

We re-engineered the network plan mid-project, switching from Cisco to Aruba Central to deliver better performance, flexibility, and long-term value. Working directly with Aruba, we designed a bespoke infrastructure that covered every corner of the hotel.

  • 813 access points, 364 switches, and 10,368 cables, all meticulously deployed in 1,270 man-days.
  • A 1Gb dedicated leased line with failover protection to ensure always-on connectivity.
  • Dedicated Prince II project management to coordinate with contractors and deliver ahead of schedule.
  • Smooth integration with The Peninsula’s own systems for guest rooms, operations, and security.

The result

A spectacular launch and ongoing partnership

From initial contact in 2019 to handover in early 2024, we delivered a smooth rollout. The hotel opened its doors fully connected, fully operational, and without a single system delay. It was ready for launch events featuring royalty, celebrities, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

The invisible architecture powers every facet of The Peninsula’s operations, from check-in and Michelin-starred dining to guest Wi-Fi, ePOS systems, spa experiences, CCTV, and EV charging. We ensure flawless service across every touchpoint, so guests get a luxury experience without tech getting in the way.

And the partnership didn’t end there. The Peninsula has since signed a multi-year agreement for continued optimisation and remote support, making us a trusted part of their ongoing success.
