The Ampersand, a five-star boutique hotel in South Kensington, needed to modernise their Wi-Fi and network infrastructure. They needed a new AV IP TV system, as well as a rock-solid Wi-Fi solution to improve guest connectivity and make sure their tech keeps pace with their business.

Building a reliable, scalable Wi-Fi infrastructure required strategic network planning. Performance was key. They knew our hospitality expertise meant we could deliver optimal coverage across guest rooms, public spaces, and operational areas – all without disrupting their premium guest experience.

A strategic infrastructure installation fit for five-star service

We got to work installing a new Wi-Fi solution across the Ampersand, collaborating closely with the AV IP TV provider to deliver the right IP infrastructure. The project required a full-scale upgrade of the hotel’s network backbone, carefully designed to support high-bandwidth services and provide continuous connectivity across the site.

Our engineers carried out extensive pre-installation surveys to identify the best access point locations, and we then developed a strategic plan to enhance their infrastructure. This included extra data cabling runs for new AP locations, ensuring strong signal throughout the hotel. Additional post-installation surveys helped us make sure every element was working as it should.

The infrastructure supported the new guest captive portal, ensuring guests could connect quickly and securely, and we integrated dynamic bandwidth distribution that responds to real-time demand and usage patterns.
