Micron delivers Microsoft Teams Telephone system to the Welcome Break Group

Welcome Break Group is the leading provider of motorway services in the UK, with a complex estate of service areas, retail outlets and hotels, located on some of the busiest roads in the country.

Micron has been supplying, installing and maintaining telephony solutions for the group for over 15 years. In 2018 a consolidation project was undertaken to deploy a resilient cloud based Mitel communications platform which would link all of the sites together.

More recently an integrated Microsoft Teams solution has been deployed across the group’s Head Office at Newport Pagnell to deliver state of the art functionality that is integrated to the existing Mitel platform. Along side this, the scale of the Mitel solution has also been expanded to completely replace almost all legacy systems across the Welcome Break Group service stations.

The project has proven hugely successful, delivering feature rich Unified Communication across the Head Office and management team and robust, Mitel Cloud Communications across the retail areas of the business.
