Micron’s Jurassic Coast Charity Walk
In September, 12 employees woke up bright and breezy to begin their Jurassic Coast charity challenge.
Tasked with almost 27 miles – passing through Swanage, following the coast to Kingston and through Corfe, and looping back to the start – the team set off at 6.30am and made their way along the breath-taking coastline. Food and refreshment stops saved the day, keeping everyone fuelled up and hydrated in the September sunshine. A huge thank you to Mark Parsons for kindly providing such a spread!
The team finished their expedition at 7.20pm, with a fantastic sense of achievement – and in need of a cold shower, blister plasters and a long-earned rest!
Following the expedition, we’re delighted to announce we raised a fantastic total of £4,338.00 (not including Gift Aid) for the local the charity Julia’s House, a children’s Hospice in Dorset, and despite the heat making it a little more difficult, it’s safe to say the team still had a great time.
A massive thank you to our walkers, Jade Bailey, Gemma Hull, Ben Marks, Jason Hempstead, Freddie Higgs, Martin Longhurst, Steven Mitchell, Dan Molyneux, Chris Roddis, Tristram Stobbs, David Ware and Rebecca Lake. What a team and what an achievement!
