Micron were delighted to have been engaged as a technology partner for the refurbishment of the boutique hotel, The Selwyn, Richmond.
Our mission was to provide a technology platform to enhance the quality of service and support of the hotel operation. Micron’s scope included IT Hardware and Software including Cybersecurity, Networks, Telecoms and Connectivity, including Leased Line and SIP.
Micron deployed a range of hardware, including servers, laptops and tablets, with associated software applications for hotel management, reservations, housekeeping, and operational tasks. A range of cybersecurity measures were implemented, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems, to protect the hotel’s network and data from cyber threats.
Micron redesigned and deployed a high-speed network infrastructure to support the hotel’s operations, including Wi-Fi access points throughout the hotel, and an enhanced wired network for back-office operations. A Leased Line and SIP connectivity was installed to provide high-speed internet connectivity and telephone services throughout the hotel.
The Telephone System and SIP trunking service allowed the hotel to consolidate its voice and data services, increase functionality and improving call quality, whilst reducing costs.
The installed technologies ensure an improved guest experience to provide high-speed connectivity throughout the hotel. Guests stay connected to their devices and stream content, essential for business travellers and leisure guests.
